Bio

I am a firm believer that the development of mathematics is the key to success in Engineering and other careers in science and technology which are the base of our great nation. I am a Professional Engineer passionate about mathematics who remains optimistic about bridging the gap that exists today in our youth.

I have many different methods of teaching because every student is different and every student works at a different pace. Finding the right method for a student to develop their own abilities is challenging but always rewarding. I have had the pleasure to work with students of all ages as early as 12 years old to 50 years old. I tutored at EPCC for more than 3 years with students of all different backgrounds. I have also had much experience with private tutoring in El Paso as well as the Dallas area.

I took Algebra I and II in high school. I worked and tutored many students from all ages and backgrounds while I was a tutor at UTEP and at EPCC. I graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. Through my years at UTEP I completed courses from precalculus through differential equations. As I went on from one course to the next I understood how important Algebra is and how it is applied one level to the next in mathematics. I am currently a licensed professional engineer with a lot of problem solving experience.

I took geometry AP in high school and took up to differential equations in college as part of my engineering degree. I am a critical thinker that understands math very well and understands how to break it down for students on a personal level.

I tutored precalculus to juniors and seniors in high school as well as tutored precalculus to students of many different backgrounds at EPCC Valle verde campus for many years. I graduated from UTEP with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering with an Engineering GPA of 3.7. I am also a licensed Professional Engineer.
