About Anita

Bio

40 plus years of experience in Art, including teaching printmaking to the public. Also experience in Digital and Manual Photography (including development in a darkroom), Web design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Html, Printmaking, Computer Graphics, Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, and Pottery. I have had experience teaching computer basics and intermediate Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database including: Word, Excel, Access, Wordperfect, Lotus 123 and other...

40 plus years of experience in Art, including teaching printmaking to the public. Also experience in Digital and Manual Photography (including development in a darkroom), Web design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Html, Printmaking, Computer Graphics, Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, and Pottery. I have had experience teaching computer basics and intermediate Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database including: Word, Excel, Access, Wordperfect, Lotus 123 and other programs.

My way of teaching is to start with simple assignments and then build the students confidence in their ability to succeed at any program they choose to learn. The sky is the limit! No experience necessary for the students! Come as you are. Relax in peaceful surroundings, and learn whatever subject you are interested in.

Old clothing, coveralls or an apron may be worn for Printmaking, Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, or Pottery classes. It is advisable to obtain a flashdrive(usb)for computer classes to be able to complete and save homework assignments either at the class location or at most public libraries, but it is not required. Folders will be created for all students to save to.

I am experienced in editing photos of all kinds on the computer through the Photoshop program. This includes manipulating the resolution, color, size, and position on the page. These photos can then be used in Web Design on the internet webpages/websites.

I have basic & intermediate drawing skills including still lifes, landscapes, figure drawing and architectural drawing experience. Included are my design skills, and experience in drawing on the computer to produce hand-colored computer art as well as that which is produced for color printing. I have used stiple technique, graphite and charcoal pencils, conte crayons, pastels and charcoal to produce drawings and mixed media artwork, including printmaking techniques that include hand-coloring applications.
Painting,

Painting

I have taken foundation courses in drawing, color theory, design, and painting. In drawing I have used conte crayon, charcoal, several kinds of pencils with different levels of hardness and stumps to blend these. I use the above techniques to guide me in painting but I also freely apply paint without sketches of any kind or sketch in with paintbrush strokes only. I work in acrylic paints and designer watercolors. I also produce mixed media pieces of Art using combinations of conte crayon, printmaking techniques such as: color reduction, etching, intaglio and relief printing on a variety of plates including cardboard coated with gesso, linoleum blocks, zinc plates as well as acrylic paints applied over various textures.

I have experience in manual and digital photography, loading film into canisters, and developing my own photographs with and without manipulation in the darkroom. In addition, I have experience in combination printmaking and photographic techniques for multiple images resulting in a series known as editions, where each image is considering an original piece of Art. I also have experience in working with and altering digital photographs to produce an improved image or combination of images in one photograph. You will need to bring your own digital camera or manual camera to the class for assistance.

I have had 25 years computerized and manual experience in producing art for commercial purposes such as business cards, posters, flyers, programs, mass mailing of letters for management and attachments, and created forms of all kinds. By using formatting skills, text editing and options on the computer, I can produce all manner of type sizes or fonts, apply different formatting techniques, and can manipulate text on the page to produce individual letters, labels, and envelopes or mass mailing to large quantities of people of the above. I also know how to attach all manner of documents, photographs, and computer drawn or painted art to transport via the internet. I look forward to assisting you to increase your skill level.
