I have earned my Masters Degree in Special Education K-12 (Concentration: Emotional & Behavioral Disorders) and my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education (Social Sciences). My background and experience has provided me with many opportunities to teach and work with both children and their families in both public and private schools and in self-contained classroom environments.

As an educator, it is my job to provide opportunities for students to develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually. It is my goal to inspire students to excel in the knowledge, skills, and attributes which lead to personal success both in and outside the classroom.

I have several years of experience teaching a wide variety of content-area subjects to students at both the middle and high school level. Subject area classes that I have taught include, but are not limited to: English/Grammar/Language Arts, Reading, World History, World Cultures, US History, Biology, Earth Science, Life Science, and Math (5th grade-algebra 1). I also have experience teaching non-content related classes such as Study Skills, Life Skills, Executive Functioning, and Enrichment/Resource. I tailor my instruction to meet the needs of each individual student and will do whatever it takes to make learning fun, relatable, and enjoyable.

I have taken and passed several praxis exams, including praxis I, praxis II (social studies content knowledge), and praxis II (special education content knowledge).

My experience as a special education teacher has fully prepared me to provide a comprehensive learning environment that supports the success of students with high functioning autism spectrum disorders, including Asperger's, ADHD, OCD, Tourette's, depression, anxiety, and various learning differences.

I am determined to be the best educator I can be. I believe it is essential to maintain a positive attitude as well as a safe and stimulating learning environment. I try my absolute best to motivate, encourage, and inspire students to excel both personally and acade
