As a recent Georgetown University graduate with a BA in American Studies, I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to support college access and readiness for first-generation and underrepresented students. Education is a powerful tool for social change and empowerment, and I have dedicated myself to mentoring and guiding students through the college application process.

During my last three summers of college, I had the privilege of serving as a College Mentor, where I mentored 15 first-generation, low-income (FGLI) high school students during a six-week summer program. My role involved introducing them to the college application process, helping them navigate higher education, assisting them with writing college essays, and fostering their interest in the art and nonprofit field. In this capacity, I created and facilitated eight workshops and book clubs to develop their writing skills and familiarize them with the intricacies of college applications. This experience solidified my commitment to youth development and college readiness. I am currently mentoring three students throughout their time in college as well because I am passionate about both access and success.

I am eager to leverage my mentoring and interpersonal skills in a role where I can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals striving for higher education.

During my last three summers of college, I had the privilege of serving as a College Mentor, where I mentored 20 first-generation, low-income (FGLI) high school students during a six-week summer program. My role involved introducing them to the college application process, helping them navigate higher education, assisting students to write eloquent college essays, and fostering their interest in the art and nonprofit field. In this capacity, I created and facilitated eight workshops and book clubs to develop their writing skills and familiarize them with the intricacies of college applications. This experience solidified my commitment to youth development and college readiness. I will be mentoring a few students throughout their time in college as well because I am passionate about both access and success.
