My name is Joe! I graduated in 2019 with a PhD in physics from the University of Colorado Boulder. I believe the most important skill in tutoring is to understand how your student thinks and to be able to guide their thinking to a deep understanding of the subject. Intro Physics courses are great for this because most students already are familiar with enough things in their daily lives that they can relate it to!

During my time in Boulder I taught many first and second semester students in both calc and non-calc physics as a teaching assistant and really enjoyed the experience. My students consistently gave me great reviews and enjoyed the course.
