I have taught English Language Arts and Reading to 6th-12th graders for over 10 years. I am certified to teach reading to struggling readers and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). I also hold TEFL (Teaching English as Foreign Language) certification. My goal is to ensure academic success and personal achievement for every learner through customized lesson planning.

I also work with adult learners to improve literacy skills (reading, writing and speaking) for job advancement, professional development, or personal improvement.

Lastly, as a writing coach, I provide writing, editing, and proofreading services for essays, personal statements and creative writing projects.

POSITIVE, ENCOURAGING, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PATIENT TUTOR

I am a theology student. Theology is not an easy subject and taking classes on line is very difficult and challenging. I was having difficulty understanding my advanced studies assignments which caused me to fall behind. I needed help desperately. Latasha was the tutor I selected among the others to assist me because I was very impressed with her profile and her specialized accomplishments. My first session with Latasha went well. Her positive energy, words of encouragement and reassuring voice gave me the confidence that I truly needed to relax and trust her to be my tutor and allow her to guide me through the challenges I was facing with my classes. She did an amazing job. She was confident, knowledgeable and very patient as we became acquainted and she familiarized herself with my assignments. My doubts and uncertainly were put at rest as Latasha used her skills to assist me in successfully completing assignments. I did not hesitate to schedule her for another session.
