I am a retired teacher with twenty-two years of teaching Elementary School students in all subjects. I have taught in California and Texas, and awarded campus Teacher of the Year in each state. I have extensive experience teaching refugee students in both California.

I write poetry, songs, plays, and have published a children's book entitled Sly Sloth and Camouflage to the Rescue. I love presenting content in interesting and challenging ways. I love teaching and believe that every child can enjoy learning.

I am a certificated ESL teacher, and I love reading as well as writing. I am able to follow, expand, and develop curriculum. And as previously stated served as a Reading Specialist.

As I understand it 'Common Core' speaks of embedding rigor in the content of the learning experience. The teaching should incorporate the both Maslow's affective approach and Bloome's academic focus, thereby ensuring quality learning.

I am patient and I have high expectations. My goal is for learning to be interesting, fun, and continuous beyond the class.
