Derek is a great tutor. We have only positive things to say about him. We are fully committed to his tutoring styles. It was frustrating trying to find a tutor. However, Wyzant solved our dilemma. We were truly blessed to find an academically qualified tutor able to communicate complex mathematical concepts in an easy-to-learn format. Yes, we unequivocally recommend Derek for his knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm with all things math. In addition, Derek is flexible and quickly responds to requests for additional tutoring. Derek was a great tutor. I am in college in Business Calculus and he answered all of my questions well and took the time to walk me through the steps, and asked me questions along the way to make sure I was understanding. He was funny and made the lesson interesting. He also made it easy to set up another lesson, definitely recommend!

He helped with Integration by substitution and Integration by parts. His way of doing it was very helpful! The hour was very helpful in determining what ways to take when answering and gave advice at the end. The advice was to practice over and over again until it sticks in your mind like when you move to a new town and you have to memorize the traffic routes, times, and what locations are around. I found that very beneficial to me.

great tutor

derek really helped me understand precalculus & was very understanding when i had to cancel one time when i was sick. he helped me cover a lot of material within a short window of time. i liked doing a combo of online and in person lessons. he has a very good approach working with students who are not stem majors or math-minded. he is very easy going and funny which makes the lessons fun. if i had to recommend one tutor to anyone it would be derek!!

Mr. Derek is the best with precalculus and trig, he helped my daughter with her math to better understand it, I would highly recommend him for precalculus and trig. He also helped my oldest daughter with her college math, he's amazing, very knowledgeable something that is rare with most of the tutors I came across. He is also patient, he wants to make sure the student understands it. He's the best tutor we ever had. We plan to continue using him for my youngest when she starts college.
