I very much enjoy teaching, and have pursued opportunities that allow me to do just that. Throughout my academic and professional careers, I have taken every opportunity to deliver knowledge to anyone searching for it. I will challenge you, though instruction will be interesting and thought provoking. I will incorporate "book lessons" with "real world examples" to provide a complete picture of the topic at hand, which will help you learn and retain the information.

I have over 11 years experience in the criminal justice system, working in such areas as corrections, community corrections, criminal investigations, and criminal street gangs. I have served as a line officer, and have mentored and instructed newer officers in on-the-job training and field work. My formal education includes receiving a BA in Criminology from the University of South Florida, an Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph's University, and and completed all required coursework for a PhD in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University- Newark, with a focus on Corrections and Community Corrections decision-making processes.

I set very high standards for myself, so if there is something that I can improve upon, be it in my personal or professional life, I appreciate any and all feedback so that I can make the necessary changes. I try to be as flexible with my time as possible, so that we can accomplish our goals, but I do require 24 hours notice prior to canceling an appointment. I am available to travel reasonable distances, and am able to work in many different environments; if you prefer a coffee shop, a library, or some other location, that's fine with me.
