I enjoy tutoring a wide variety of subjects including government and politics, political science, Chinese, public speaking, English, and writing. I am patient with my students and have experience tutoring students of all ages from high school and college, to adults. Whether it is a one-on-one lesson to learn a new language, improve your public speaking and presentation abilities, gain knowledge about government/politics, or a tutoring session to improve your subjects in school, I can help! I enjoy tutoring a wide variety of subjects including government and politics, political science, Chinese, public speaking, English, and writing. I am patient with my students and have experience tutoring students of all ages from high school and college, to adults. Whether it is a one-on-one lesson to learn a new language, improve your public speaking and presentation abilities, gain knowledge about government/politics, or a tutoring session to improve your subjects in school, I can help! I enjoy encouraging my students and building up their confidence the most. I succeed when my students succeed.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors Program with a BA in Political Science, Theatre, and International Studies with a double minor in Chinese and Asian Studies. I received my MA in International Security from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and currently work for the US government.

I am also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. I have traveled, studied, presented, and conducted research in China and Taiwan. I also enjoy helping people learn and improve their Chinese in a cross-cultural way.

In English, I passed both the Collegeboard AP English Language and Composition Exam and the AP English Literature and Composition Exam before graduating high school. As a Political Science major and MA graduate, I have had extensive training in formal writing, research, and more. I also do editing, proofreading, and suggestions on papers. I spent 10 years in public school choirs in the State of Texas, where every student was required to learn and practice sight-reading every week. I also participated in the All-State Choir Auditions in high school, where sight-singing was a portion of the audition. I use solfege and I am more than proficient at reading music and sight-singing.

I studied voice in private lessons for about 10 years and have performed in countless shows and musicals. I was also in choir for more than 10 years through college and competed in the Texas All-State Choir process. I studied my first year in college at the Webster Conservatory of Theatre Arts as a BFA Musical Theatre major before transferring for a more academic-based education. Even before studying at Webster, I studied musical theatre in Houston, Texas with various private voice coaches and teachers. I first studied classical music in conjunction with regular choral training and delved into speech-level singing, musical theatre, and popular voice training in high school where I got into several of the top BFA Musical Theatre programs in the country. I also passed the Collegeboard AP Music Theory Exam before graduating high school, and continued taking music theory classes, private voice, and music lessons at Webster before transferring. I have had several years of formal piano training, and spent a few years leading youth group worship and being part of a worship team at my church in Texas. I am more than proficient at sight-singing and reading music. I love music and enjoying sharing that love to others as well.
