For almost 20 years, I have worked as an English Language Arts teacher. I have worked with all age levels and ability levels; from students who are just learning the alphabet and letter sounds all the way to students who are in AP Language/Literature courses at the 11th or 12th grade level. Through my experiences in the classroom, along with my experience as a Reading Teacher and Literacy Specialist, I know that personalized reading and writing instruction is crucial in preparing all students...

For almost 20 years, I have worked as an English Language Arts teacher. I have worked with all age levels and ability levels; from students who are just learning the alphabet and letter sounds all the way to students who are in AP Language/Literature courses at the 11th or 12th grade level. Through my experiences in the classroom, along with my experience as a Reading Teacher and Literacy Specialist, I know that personalized reading and writing instruction is crucial in preparing all students to achieve their goals both now and in the future.

I have had the honor of working with students who have a wide range of needs. Through my roles as both a Reading Teacher and Literacy Specialist, I have worked with both small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis on phonics, phonemic awareness, blending, segmenting, rhyming, etc., to help each student gain a strong foundation to be successful in their reading and writing lives. I have also had the privilege of working with students with ADHD, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and various other students who need extra support due to medical, emotional, or learning challenges. I enjoy working with students to identify exactly what works for that specific individual to provide the best possible learning environment and structure for success.

I truly look forward to working with students in the areas of Reading, Writing, Comprehension, Fluency, Essay Writing, Grammar, Test Prep...you get the point. I absolutely love sharing my tips and tricks to make the process of reading and writing both enjoyable and beneficial. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time! I look forward to meeting you and working with you!

Genuinely Kind and Knowledgeable Tutor

Elizabeth is a genuine, patient, and knowledgeable tutor. In my case, I did not have the funds to pay her originally requested amount. I was pleasantly surprised when she agreed to generously reduce her rate to fit my budget. Elizabeth concern for her students reaches far beyond academic material as she takes a vested interest in the overall welfare of her students. As a student with Autism, I can guarantee you that she has the ability and kindness to assist students with special needs or those who simply need a little extra patience. Elizabeth would be an asset to any student looking to improve their reading skills, test skills, writing skills, or knowledge of English.
