I have a strong passion for teaching and more importantly I have been highly successful in transferring my knowledge to my students. I believe clarity and patience are two important traits that each tutor must possess in order to help their students in the most effective way. Also it is very important to encourage the student by letting them know how much they know instead of pointing out their weaknesses.

I have helped, on more than one occasion, students who were struggling badly in their math courses but in the end they got a very well deserved grade. It is my hope to be able to help more students achieve high grades in their math courses. I have a bachelor and masters degree in engineering, and scored 740 (out of 800) on the GRE quantitative. I took AP calculus in high school and got a score of 5 (maximum) on the AP exam.

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have a lot of tutoring experience in algebra. I think algebra 2 is the most fun and yet important of all math courses as it is the base of higher level courses (e.g precalculus and calculus). I have a lot of experience tutoring algebra at George Mason University, as well as helping students in one on one settings, and helping them pass their algebra course or the math placement test (a test which contains mostly algebra questions and by passing that one would receive credit for algebra without having to take it) with high grades/scores.
Calculus,

Calculus

The highlight of my math tutoring experience is in tutoring Calculus. I helped a student who had failed two quizzes early in the semester and had lost confidence, to master the material and do very well on his quizzes and exams, and get an A in his course. I also met another student near the end of his semester who had solid D in his class and was hoping for a C to pass. I helped him out and he did so well on his final exam that he got a B as his final grade. It is important to note that the later student had never taken a course in algebra prior to taking Calculus and yet he managed to do very well with my help and of course a lot of effort of his own.

Farsi

I was born in Iran and I speak Farsi fluently as my first language. I attended elementary, middle and high school in Iran. I have been exposed to Persian literature and have read and enjoyed the epic poem of Shahnameh by the great Persian poet Ferdowsi, Gulistan of Sa'adi, as well as the work of other great Persian poets like Hafiz and Rumi.

I took differential equations during my undergraduate program and passed with grade of A. I have helped students with differential equations at George Mason University math learning center. I have a solid knowledge of first and second order differential equations and have applied the concepts in many of electrical engineering courses such as circuits and signal and systems.
Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

I have background in a lot of topics contained in discrete math courses, such as sets, and probability. Moreover, I have recently borrowed a copy of a popular discrete math textbook, and have read through the material, and I have a good general understanding of most of the topics.

Finite Math

I am familiar with most topics covered in finite math such as sets, functions and graph, inequalities, probability and statistics. I have a lot of experience tutoring these topics at the college level in various math courses such as algebra and statistics. I have helped students do very well in these subjects and obtain decent grades.
Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

Great tutor. Flexible, responsive, explains well.

Sayed has been doing SAT math and Trigonometry with my son. We went thru a few tutors, before deciding on Sayed. He was the best out of the 3 we tried. Aarav says he explains things well, so that he understands concept. He even offers him the chance to send problems beforehand so that he can see how best to explain concept. Can't ask for more.

Amazing Tutor he is very patient

amazing tutor he taught me signals and systems he doesn't just understand the subject but is able to explain it in a way that I could understand it. If you don't understand it one way he will be able to explain in a different way.
