My passion for teaching centers around three main practices: I want students to learn, I want students to gain the study skills and learning strategies necessary to succeed in the future, and I want them to enjoy learning as much as possible! I have a strong love for learning, gaining new experiences, and helping others. As a current student studying both Math Education and English Language and Literature, I understand how the right tools, the right support, and some determination can transformed a student's education. My role as a volunteer Breakthrough teacher, award for being tutor of the month in my university's peer educator program, and experience as a private tutor has given me experience working with students of all different ages, academic levels, and personalities. I have loved watching student's recognize their own potential as a learner, and see improvement in their work/grades.

I specialize in the area's of Math, English Language, Literature, and SAT prep. Whether you're working through calculus problems, trying to write a great paper, or need help preparing for the SAT's, I can help you achieve your goals. I have not only studied this material myself, but have studied and practiced many learning strategies specific to different students and different content areas. My goal is to support the student while also challenging them to learn as much as possible! I use a combination of personalized lessons, homework assignments that encourage independent work, and assessments to ensure students are learning!

As a teacher, I am responsible for facilitating the learning of my students. I take that responsibility seriously; therefore, I will never charge a student/parent if they are not satisfied with the session, and I welcome and request feedback from students and parents.

I have a flexible schedule, but do request at least 8 hours notification for a cancellation or to reschedule. In order to provide a quiet and conducive study space for students, I enjoy taking advantage of SNHU's p

Excellent help with Geometry!

Cassandra worked specifically on geometry, but also shared her knowledge of literature, camp programs and extra curricular activities that really enhanced the meeting and gave us good ideas for future activities to participate in.

My first lesson was amazing!

Cassandra's style of teaching and patience is nothing short of remarkable. I felt very comfortable with her immediately and she will make an absolutely stellar math teacher one day. She was very well prepared with assessment tests for me to begin with so she could analyze where I am in my math studies and begin at a place where I was comfortable and knowledgeable. I look forward to many more lessons with her, as she is helping me gain fluency in the math areas I need for a career in Aerospace Technology. Wonderful teacher all around!

Knowledgeable, organized and patient tutor

Cassandra's first meeting/lesson went very well. We focus on Math and got to know each other and think her teaching style is conducive to my learning style. So, overall first impression is a good fit. Looking forward to the next session. Cassandra has made herself available and flexible schedule will certainly help going forward.
