Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm a lifelong learner and I love to do a bit of everything: english, math, science, and art. I graduated in 2022 from University of Southern California with a BS in Environmental Studies, and I'm currently back in school as a pre-medical student at Santa Monica College. I work as a registered behavioral technician with autistic children to support their learning at school and build skills at home. For fun, I like to paint, bake pastries, and relax at home with my cat. I think the marker of truly understanding something is being able to teach it to someone else. My goal is to help students become proficient and confident not only in their current subject, but anything they pursue.
It is easy to internalize the idea that you are not "good" at something. But the reality is, everything can be grasped with enough time and enough questions asked. I am very patient and flexible, and will work with students to collaborate on an educational approach. I am happy to meet you where you are because learning is a two-way street!
