Great tutor!

Jesse is a great communicator, always organized, clear and making every effort to reach out to make sure there are no coordination problems. The lessons themselves are great, he is a former teacher with kids and has a quick and easy rapport with the kids despite doing an online lesson. Kids are looking forward to more lessons!

Great Cooking Instructor

Jesse knows a lot about food and it has been a great experience learning from him. As a cooking instructor, Jesse's introduced me to ingredients I have never used (or heard of) before, he's taught me new skillsets to impart new and exciting flavors onto dishes, and, overall, he's helped me to expand my repertoire when it comes to food. Regardless of whether you already have a foundation and you're looking to hone your skills in the kitchen or whether you don't know how to do anything besides pour cereal over milk and want to change that, I'd recommend Jesse! He's flexible and can help with learning a variety of different skills and recipes.

HOW I FINALLY Learned Spanish!

Nothing else worked until I found Jesse at Quality Tutors! As an English teacher in a bilingual school, I have been trying to learn Spanish for the past 5 years in order to better communicate with colleagues and parents that are Native Spanish speakers and to provide bilingual materials and supports to my ELL students. I tried Duolingo, Babbel, and some in-person sessions but continued to struggle making progress in my conversational speaking abilities.  After 4 months, and over 30 lessons with Jesse, we have broken my plateaued skills and improved my Spanish communication in listening, reading, and speaking. It has been pivotal to my success that Jesse has been extremely flexible with my ever-changing schedule as a busy professional and Masters student and also provided me with a wide variety of learning activities to keep lessons fresh and differentiated to my individual needs. I look forward to continuing my studies with Jesse, several times weekly, and to the continued success that I will have with my Spanish as a result. ¡Gracias Jesse! Nos vemos en nuestra próxima clase....

Thanks so much for your kind words Gen! I enjoyed teaching you Spanish and you were such a quick study! It helps to have a teacher as a student ;) so motivated!

Knowledgeable and motivating tutor

“Jesse is fabulous. My 11yo son has made significant spelling improvement over the summer. Jesse took the time to get to know Carson and relate to him through mutual interests. He quickly determined his strengths and weaknesses and worked on his needs while building his confidence. Carson learned and applied spelling patterns in his reading and writing. He has always been reluctant to work on reading and spelling, however, Carson was always willing to work with Jesse. In fact, I’d even say he enjoyed it;). Thanks Jesse!”

Amanda, 1 lesson with Jesse
Tutor responded:

Thank you Amanda! Carson was awesome to work with, very motivated and he picked up the material so quickly. I hope the lessons transcended to success in middle school :)

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

I do not normally write reviews. However Jesse has been amazing. He has helped my daughter become more confident and proficient in reading. He is very patient and personable. My daughter really looks forward to his class. I have seen a great improvement in her confidence as well as her reading ability . He has taught her many strategies that Has contributed to her overall success.

Vanessa, 1 lesson with Jesse
Tutor responded:

Thank you Vanessa! I enjoyed working with your daughter, she brought such positive energy and humor to each class :)

Knowledgeable tutor who will fit lessons to your needs!

I know I am probably not the traditional student that Jesse will meet with, but I wanted to try a different way to immerse myself in Spanish and Jesse was more than willing to adapt to my needs on this journey. He has the knowledge of many different Spanish contexts, across Latin America and Spanish Europe. I appreciate his approachability and the ease with which our meetings have transpired. It doesn’t feel like I am talking to a tutor, it feel like I am talking to a friend. And that speaks volumes to how I learn what would otherwise be an incredibly intimidating topic for me. Thanks, Jesse!

Matt, 1 lesson with Jesse

Thank you for the kind words Matt! I have enjoyed answering the wide variety of interesting questions you bring to class and helping you on your Spanish journey. Saludos!

Excellent teacher with a lot of resources

Jesse is an excellent teacher. He was very patient with my six years old daughter in her first class. She was very distracted but he managed to get her to focus and to evaluate her level of reading. He provided us with a lot of wonderful resources to strengthen her reading and comprehension skills. He was open to hear my expectations and promised to incorporate them into the learning process. I highly recommend him for teaching young kids and adults as well.
