Exactly what I needed

Lars was the perfect tutor. He quickly assessed where I needed the most help and we spent all of the time dialed in on those areas. He wasted no time, which was appreciated because the clock is running. While still being personable he kept everything straight to the point which is needed because the sessions can fly by. He was on time and prepared for our sessions. I would highly recommend.

Excellent tutor

I’ve been working with Lars for several months now on a self-directed studies program of philosophy and religion. He is an excellent tutor with a wide range of knowledge. I appreciate his patience and ability to explain hard to grasp concepts in many different ways, including visual examples, until they are thoroughly understood. I would highly recommend Lars to anyone; he truly makes learning a joy.

Lars was my tutor to help prepare for the LSAT and he was patient, organized, explains well, and gives great strategies. It became much more valuable than just LSAT preparation, he taught me logic skills that will help me the for rest of my life while feeling much more confident for my next LSAT exam.

Knowledgeable and Incredibly Helpful Tutor

Lars helped me review for my final exam in Critical Thinking. I was taking critical thinking as a math alternative and struggling with some of the material and Lars explained it in ways that were incredibly helpful and easy to understand. I’m really thankful!

Patient, engaging, and comprehensive tutor

Lars and I reviewed some fundamental analytical philosophy concepts that I was struggling to grasp fully. After meeting with him, I feel much more confident crafting my answers and have a far greater understanding than I did before. Very appreciative of all of his help.

Witty and Excellent LSAT Logic Tutor

I had been working with an LSAT tutor for about 2-3 weeks, but the last week (of my actual test), they had an emergency and couldn't follow up. I quickly reached out to Lars because he is a Philosophy Professor, and he responded within 7 minutes and booked an appointment the same day. I was completely blown away by how simple Lars portrayed the Logic and Structure of the LSAT, and his method worked instantly. Within 2 days, my pretest score increased 5pts and I feel way more confident because of his guidance. I learned more with Lars in 3 sessions than I did with my other tutor in 6. One of the reasons I believe Lars is so effective is that he is extremely personable, telling jokes and cheering on success. One might be intimidated with Lars' experience and knowledge, but his humility and genuine care for your success makes him approachable and easy to follow. If you are taking the LSAT and are struggling to get your score above 160+, I highly recommend Lars! I would also imagine that if you are a high school or college student and struggling with logic or philosophy, Lars would be fabulous for you as well.

Focused and patient ASVAB professor

Lars helped my son get over his confusion in different Math areas and prepared him for the ASVAB. He landed a successful score plus 20 points from previous practice tests. All of that in just 1.5 weeks.

Very patient tutor!

Lars is a wonderful tutor and very knowledgeable about Logic (he tutored me in Philosophy 105: Introduction To Logic). He’s familiar with the concepts being taught, some of the textbooks used, and even taught me things I didn’t learn in class. He’s a patient person and will allow you enough space to try the work yourself before guiding you back if you get stuck.

Perceptive

Was looking for guidance in strengthening a logical argument. Lars provided educational and appropriate insights into the direction the argument should go, as well as indicate other resources to review which would prove to be valuable. Looking forward to a future session after having done more due diligence.
