I respect the teachers I have had and continually strive to emulate those who provided an outstanding education, and it is my pleasure to teach others in an environment that facilitates their learning. I truly love seeing the lightbulb go off when a student understands a concept.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and have been studying Psychology routinely for the last 12 years through my tenure in the U.S. military. I also personally enjoy researching human behavior and neuroscience from both a theoretical and empirical standpoint, regularly conducting research and writing to further the field of study.
I am a certified ESL teacher and have been teaching English to non-native language learners for nearly 4 years, first while living abroad in Spain and periodically once I moved back to the U.S. I have experience teaching reading, writing, speaking and listening with language learners of all ranges, from young elementary-aged students to adults with decades of life experience.
I also specialize in phonics from an ESL perspective to help language learners improve their accent and achieve the level of speaking proficiency they desire.
I look forward to hearing from you!
