I usually ask for feedback after each lesson and never bill for a lesson in which the student and parent, if applicable, are not completely satisfied. In each lesson, I give clear guidance before assigning work, show how to do problems, give work to do and correct each error, making sure the student understands, and praise what the student does right. Then I assign a little homework. I have worked with many students who have consistently improved their skills, knowledge, and test scores. Read their reviews of our work together.

I have a comfortable, quiet home with a large table, chairs, and wifi for tutoring.

I hope to hear from you and help you achieve success in your studies and tests!

TEAS,

TEAS

I took the TEAS in February, 2012. I was scored above the 99th percentile in science, above the 99th percentile in math, above the 99th percentile in vocabulary, and above the 99th percentile in reading. Those are the four parts of the TEAS. My test was scored in the top percentile in each and every part. Why was my score so good? It was because I had recently taken the required courses again and received A's in them except for microbiology lab, in which I got a B. I have a BS in chemistry with a double major in biology. Then I got a Masters in nutrition. Then I got another Masters in public health. So I have a lot of biology background, a lot of chemistry background, and I was told that I could have a minor in math because I took two years of college calculus and other courses in statistics and probability. Additionally, I score extremely well in vocabulary and reading. Not only was I scored in the 99th percentile in them, but I scored in the 99th percentile on that part of the GRE and similar parts of the MCAT and the GMAT. My vocabulary and reading skills are off the chart. When preparing for the TEAS, I worked with another student to improve her skills. I helped her understand the questions and how to answer them. In conclusion, I have taken the TEAS and did very well on it. I have taken far more than the required courses for it and did very well in them. I have taught the TEAS to another student. Additionally, I have successfully helped students improve their scores on similar tests, including the GRE and the GMAT. My ratings as a WyzAnt instructor are also very high.

Great guy, who's smart and helpful!

Chris provided me with great strategies for studying as well as what to do in the test! He also gave me a great plan for me to do on my own in preparation for the test and our next lesson.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor.

I need help with TEAS verbal section. Had an hour session with Chris, and he was really nice to show pointers on how to practice lessons. He also went over certain test taking strategies, which were helpful. Overall, a very good experience!

Calm, patient, effective

Chris helped my son, Jake, prepare for the algebra portion of the Accuplacer exam (a college placement exam). My son graduated high school in 2012. During that time he found his passion in glass art, taught himself the art of glass blowing, started his own small business, then decided to pursue a degree in scientific glass technology. After being out of school for two years, algebra skills and formulas were a distant memory. My son had found his passion and decided to pursue a dream. The only thing standing in his way was the algebra portion of a college placement exam. After 3 tutoring sessions with Chris , Jake jumped right over that hurdle with ease. Thanks to Chris, my son is now pursuing his passion and realizing a dream. Thank you Chris!!

The Best!

My daughter was struggling with SAT until I got her tutoring with Chris R. Within 2 weeks of attending lessons with Chris, my daughter was able to increase her SAT score by 70 points. Chris is very knowledgeable, very patient and always has ways of explaining formulas to his students that make it so easy for them to understand. My daughter has now been accepted into pre-med program starting in Fall 2014. My son was next after my daughter. He is in 8th grade and was failing math with a D average. After starting tutoring with Chris, my son is now maintaining a B average in his math class. I highly recommend Chris to anyone who may need tutoring. He is the best!

Tutor responded:

Thank you, Ali. I do all I can to help students understand their subjects. I am delighted when they do as well as your daughter and son are doing. They worked hard with me and deserve all the credit.

Excellent Tutor

I would like to say, "Thank You" to Chris for such great work. My son's performance was average in his algebra class. Now that he's receiving tutoring from Chris, his grades have gone from a C average to a high B. Chris is extremely patient. He plays a great role in my son building his confidence in his class work and on tests. Chris provides tutoring in several subjects to my son. There's been tremendous improvement in my child's class work and test grades. Chris, there are no words to explain how I appreciate your help. You have such a big heart and the patience of Job. Again, I really do appreciate all you do and done. Thank you!

Amazing success!!!!

My daughter had had a rough couple of years and was in the process of getting back on track. We had gotten her grades back to where they needed to be but the time lost in SAT practice didn't seem like it could be made up. I turned to Chris R. on Wyzant and had him work with my daughter for 2 weeks (that was all the time I had left before her last chance SAT test). Chris raised her scores by almost 25% in Reading!!!!!! Thank you so much you made the impossible...possible.

Very beneficial

My daughter called after first lesson to state it was very beneficial and she is gaining confidence. We look forward to these lessons turning into higher scores!

Patient and Positive!

Chris is a very understanding, patient and positive tutor. Soft spoken but very apparent that he cares about the student and making the best use of the time he spends working with the student. I definitely appreciated the work he did with my son! Thanks Chris!
