Hi! My name is Kristina, but everyone calls me Tina! I graduated in 2012 from Minnesota with my degree in early childhood education. After graduating, I spent 5 years in Peru where I taught English as a Second language to the local Spanish speakers. I worked with students from 5 years old, through 7th grade. I taught as the English teacher, and also spent time working with small groups.

After returning to the states I substitute taught in the local school districts in northern MN. I had a few long-term teaching jobs—1 with kindergartners, and the other as a title 1 teacher, working with small groups of 2-4th graders who struggled with reading and math.

I have my degree in Early childhood education, and experience substitute teaching, mostly K-4th grade.

I spent 5 years teaching English as a second language to elementary-aged Peruvians.

I spent 5 years in a Spanish speaking country where I had to learn the language to communicate. I know the frustration of learning a different language, as well as the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes with successfully mastering a concept.

I grew up being homeschooled and know the importance of a good schedule, structure, and consistency.

If you are looking for a tutor, I’d love to chat and hear more about you and your unique needs!
