Greetings and salutations! My name is Patrick and I'm a Social Studies teacher. I graduated magna cum laude from Asbury University with a BA in Political Science and Latin. I also received my Master's in Public Administration from the University of Kentucky and my MAT from the University of the Cumberlands. For me, social studies and history tell a story of humanity that explains current events. As much as history can be dull for some students, I believe when appropriately told history can come alive and become relevant to anyone who hears it.

I've taught Eighth Grade for three years and Sophomores & Juniors for two. As a teacher, I pride myself in providing students with a diverse set of lessons to fully engage them in the material. I use appropriate scaffolds and supports in my activities, especially for students who struggle with reading and writing. I also have experience teaching AP US History (APUSH) and preparing to students to succeed on the AP exam through practice questions and content review.

As I teacher I notice students who struggle in class often do not have extra support outside of class. My hope is to provide that support through tutoring and giving them another chance to master the content. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or to schedule a lesson!
