I’m Mary! I graduated from Ball State University with a degree in English Education. I spent the last seven years in a high school English classroom, where I focused specifically on reading comprehension, writing, and test prep for English 10 students. I'm also licensed to teach journalism, so I understand the nuances between professional writing, formal writing, and journalistic writing.
My passion has always been to help students grow as people as well as English students, but improving writing practices is my particular strength as a teacher. I’d love to show you some practices that will help you be a better writer and improve test scores as well.

I'm an outstanding English tutor because I get to know my students’ specific needs. I have a great deal of experience teaching and tutoring students from ages 12-19, and that has allowed me help students at all levels.

I am extremely flexible on times and availability, as I am no longer teaching in a traditional setting any longer. My passion has always been to help students, so please help me to continue to help students by helping you!
