Just what I’d hoped for
My first lesson with Kuntal was a resounding success both in his teaching skills and the technology delivery. He taught me the basics of Ableton Live to the point where I am comfortable making recordings. My only regret is that I didn’t find Kuntal sooner! I really enjoyed working with Kuntal. He was very patient in explaining a lot of basic functions in Ableton. I'm a complete beginner and I felt like Kuntal showed me a lot of basic functions that would have taken me a lot longer to figure out on my own. Kuntal was amazing! I came to him to get better at my overall production skills and to help improve my mixing and I already learned a bunch of new things in our first session together. He showed me how to use automation to make my arrangement more dynamic instead of always adding new layers. We also talked how I can achieve better mixes by thinking about the space and frequencies my sounds occupy. That instead of carving out space for elements, its even more important to pick sounds that occupy different parts of the frequency spectrum and to utilize panning to give everything room. I really like the way Kuntal explains everything. He stressed the importance of learning the “why” behind every technique instead just learning how to do it. I will definitely be back for more lessons with Kuntal!
