My experience includes two years as the freshmen English teacher in a drop-out prevention program in Pickens County, a year and a half as an ESOL teacher in Spartanburg District One, and three different field experiences(Riverside HS, Brookland Cayce HS, and Irmo HS). I have collaborated with diverse populations at each school. With each diverse population of students and professionals, I have gained insight that has enhanced my methods, strategies, and communication skills.

Currently, I work to engage students who are academically at risk to bring them up to grade level and motivate them to complete their high school education. Spartanburg District One is a data driven district, and I learned how to analyze MAP and PASS scores to implement specific strategies to push students to the next level. In my field experiences and in C3, we operate on the PBIS system;I believe that positive reinforcement promotes an overall positive learning environment for all students. I am comfortable using technology and am always eager to improve my skills. I am enthusiastic about the future of my career and know that I have a lot to offer to both students and the community.
