About Jessica

Bio

My name is Jessica G. I have been a special education teacher for 3 years. I love my job, even with the pandemic , I still continue to love what I do. Teaching is something I have always wanted to do since I was a child. There is nothing like helping another person achieve their goals and achieve something that they thought they could not do. I love to inspire others and encourage them to be their best. I do tutor before school starts and sometimes after school.

Currently I am a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school. This is my second year working as a full time Special Education Teacher. As an Educator I personally want to teach students the way I would like for any other teacher to teach my own children. I want to enrich the minds of students and want them to understand the importance of having a good education. Students need to know that having a good education prepares them for their future career. I want my students to be excited about coming to school each day. I want them to be able to express themselves, be confident, and motivated. I want to be the teacher that makes a difference in the lives of my students, be a role model and have their respect.

I know I can be a positive role model for students. Over the past year I have work with students from different backgrounds, ethnics and with different disabilities. Each day my students learn so much from me but most importantly I learn so much from them. As a teacher you gain so much knowledge and learn so much from each of your students. I currently work with students whom have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, OHI, Speech Impairment and behavior issues. As a special educator, a human being and a mom who has a child with a speech impairment I know how students feel. I am very patient and dedicated and this is what special needs students require.

I know that each day is not going to be perfect and things may not go the way you want them. There will be days you may want to give up because you may think that it is too hard o
