Hello.
My name is Philippe, and I am fluent in French. I was raised in France and Quebec by French parents. I went to french school in France and Montreal. I could help anyone with the different skills of the French language, being vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and conversation.
I have teaching experience one to one and groups up to 20.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks,

Great Teacher
My two children (aged 6 and 7) enjoy Philippe's lessons very much. They look forward to seeing Philippe every week. Philippe is very patient with them and always manages to make it fun. Philippe is always very energetic in engaging the children in all sorts of activities that the children like. My son will bring out various games to play with Philippe and my daughter draws as Philippe talks with her. We all like Philippe.

Great Experience
We had an excellent first session with Philippe. He was very observant as to our language level, and offered helpful suggestions. We enjoyed the session.

Great teaching technique I haven't encountered before
Philippe takes a very flexible approach, tailoring his lessons carefully to the level and needs of the student. His latest exercise, which I am finding very helpful, has six steps: 1. I select a passage in English that interests me and translate it into French (homework). 2. I record my translation on a tape recorder (homework). 3. Philippe comments on and corrects the written translation (in class). 4. Philippe listens to my recording, comments and corrects my mistakes (in class). 5. Philippe records the passage for me (in class). 6. I listen to the recording and attempt to emulate it, accent etc. (homework). A lot of mileage out of a simple little exercise.
Dermod, 3 lessons with PhilippeTutor responded:There are several ways to help someone in demand of tutoring. I found after many tutoring experiences that one good one is to always stay focus on the interest of the student in learning; meaning that the student has to be looking forward for the next lesson with some excitement of new material and revision of the old one. Keeping the learning experience a happy one seems to help a lot.
Amazing tutor.
Philippe is an absolutely wonderful French tutor. He has been so good with my daughter that we now want him to start tutoring us as well! We couldn't be happier.
