I have been copywriting songs since 1990 and worked with other musicians on song projects in various studios in Texas and Ohio. I also taught music and songwriting to my piano students and how to copyright their songs on an online site. I also show students how to register their songs on ASCAP and shop it so they can get royalties when their songs are used on TV, radio, movie and etc airplay.

Friendly, Professional and Patient

It always takes me a bit to get comfortable with anyone, and it didn’t take long at all to be comfortable with Miss Shawn. I’m brand new to recording and Studio One. I corrected my settings on my IOStation24C after our first lesson and got a far superior sound for my voice. She taught me about labeling and saving my pre-set, and coloring my regions as well so I don’t get so lost looking at the bigger picture. Also figured out why I had an echo at first, which was throwing me off while recording a verse. She graciously provided me with some helpful information about the music business. Definitely looking forward to our second lesson!
