I have tutored several high school students (ages 15 all the way to early 40s) in the Dallas metroplex (Rockwall and Garland) in English and in Algebra. All of those students have received an "A" in his or her course. I have helped them be successful in their classes/courses. My strategy was to always be very brief in my explanation of the concept and focus on his or her kin esthetic ability or desire (the desire to move while learning). I accomplished this by showing an example of a problem and then having him or her simulate what I have just done. This worked very well for all of the ADD/ADHD students that I have had. I approach each student and determine what in particular causes their attention deficiency. I hone in on this and make learning fun and steer away from techniques that are "boring" to them which, as a result, may trigger their ADD/ADHD.

I am very patient with students that are hard at hearing and/or need more detailed instruction and help with their classes. I have worked with a student in the past who had difficulty hearing and I emphasized a system that allowed the student to utilize her other senses (such as sight and touch) to compensate for her deficiency in hearing. Simone is the answer to our prayers!! She has been most helpful in so many ways. My daughter LOVES her to death!! Hanna has a teacher that speaks and rushes though her lessons and leaves Hanna lost and confused.
