I am an experienced piano teacher for all ages and levels. My background includes the teaching of music in the schools, piano privately, and in a music school setting. I have taught music and piano in Chicago, California, and Israel. In addition, I am a trained teacher of "Music for Moppets" and "Kinderkeyboard" which are specialized group music and movement classes for pre-school children. My education includes a degree in piano performance and my teaching credential allows me to teach music in the public schools. I am also a member of MTAC.

For private piano students who are children, I would normally prepare them to participate in Certificate of Merit. This a year long program of music, theory, sight reading, and ear training. Students who participate and pass receive a special certificate and can move on to the next level the following year. It helps to set goals and piano students love participating.
