I started out my career as a full-time middle school teacher with most of my teaching responsibilities in English and Algebra 1 in private schools. I transitioned out of teaching to work as a communications director, now for 20 years (11 of those years in private schools) where I utilize my expert skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and other software packages to carry out my daily responsibilities. I taught Algebra I and Algebra I Honors for several years at prestigious independent schools in Santa Monica, California and an all-girls school in Palo Alto, California. I've worked with students at all ability levels in grades 6-9.

My undergraduate degree is in Secondary Education with a concentration in English. For several years I was credentialed in the state of Maine to teach 7-12 English and Language Arts. My work experience as a communications director has required me to use my excellent writing and copy editing skills and to serve as an editorial expert for the organizations I worked for.

Desktop publishing and using InDesign and Photoshop (and other Adobe software) has been a daily part of my job for the past 20 years. I design and publish every possible print and electronic publication out there including newsletters, annual alumni magazines, brochures, banners, flyers, e-newsletters, websites, rack cards, business cards, letterhead and envelopes, etc.

I'm ready and available whenever you are! Just be be willing to having an open mind and to work hard! I have a lot of skills and knowledge and would love to share it with you, young people and adults!
