I have successfully worked with Elementary through High school students for the past 15 years. I have also done group teaching for local fire departments and I have taught individuals, adult and youngsters, the art of handling a sailboat. My professional background is diverse and I have learned much from my many years working with the public.
After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree from Metropolitan State University in a brief thirty years from start to finish, I have proven my willingness to stick with a project until it is completed. During that time I have worked in the insurance field as an underwriter, a fire safety engineer, a real estate broker, self employed manufacturer and most recently I have operated a sailboat business teaching others in every endeavor.
I am working as a Para-professional in the Walker Hackensack Akeley public school system. I worked with a level five Autistic 13 year old boy who could not speak. I was complimented on the single year progress the child made while in my tutelage. This year I have been working with Special Needs High school students in science, history, economics, and algebra and as a school release work supervisor. I have also worked with the high school E.B.D. students in the third and fourth level. This is an off-campus one-on-one tutoring position.
Parents and Students, call on my life long experience working in a world away from the classroom where your child is probably experiencing their challenges.
I understand the Reason for what is being presented rather than the directive,
"just learn it".
