I believe I have three main strengths, my ability to bring a project from idea to completion, my ability to apply social theory to everyday situations to help create understanding of sometimes complex concepts, and my practicality, which makes me relatable to a wide variety of people. I am experienced in the field of Sociology, through my time as a research assistant for the Sociology Department at Pacific University. I have done my own research in the fields of racial inequality, economic inequality and gender inequality. I am familiar with IRB (Institutional Review Board) procedures. I am also familiar with a wide variety of research methodology, which includes focus groups, interviewing, transcribing, coding and surveying. I have an extensive knowledge and understanding of social theory. I have tutored all level of students in the field of sociology. I am able to accommodate all learning styles, whether that is visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning. I have an extremely flexible schedule.
