I have over twenty years experience tutoring languages. I tutor English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. I have excellent references; and I have lived in Europe and in Mexico. I tutor beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced levels. I have studied these languages for many years; and I studied Latin for five years.

My students learn to speak in a short amount of time, which comes in handy for those who want to travel. They learn correct pronunciation; grammar; reading comprehension in a variety of subjects; and writing skills. I have also helped those with study and learning difficulties. The sessions are individually tailored to my students' needs. I value the ability to know and speak other languages; it enriches one's life in many ways, and it gives one so many opportunities to communicate and interact with people of different cultures.

Over the years, I have taught all age levels, from adults to university students to young children. Some of my students came to have lessons with me to get extra help with their classes. I helped American students to improve their writing skills, whose knowledge of spelling and grammar was poor; and I proofread many of their papers and theses. I have had many students from Asian countries, Europe and Central and South America. I have often had total beginners who learned basic conversation in a very short time. For example, one student had had no knowledge of Spanish at all. After less than 10 lessons with me, which lasted one and a half hours each, she wrote a success story that she could carry on basic conversation. I also teach a country's culture, and we read literature and speak about art. What we cover also depends on the student and their needs. I so enjoy enriching a person's life and offering them new avenues of communication.
