I'm a fully-certified French & Spanish teacher over 25 years of experience. I truly love teaching languages, and use a variety of teaching methods to meet students' needs-- whether it's listening, speaking, writing, or school/career readiness. I'm super-energetic and make learning fun!

I'm a fully-certified French & Spanish teacher over 25 years of experience. I truly love teaching languages, and use a variety of teaching methods to meet students' needs-- whether it's listening, speaking, writing, or school/career readiness. I'm super-energetic and make learning fun!

I have special expertise working with students with learning differences (Aspergers, behavioral, IEP) and have given workshops on this topic at national conferences. Many families contact me when they are newly transferring in to a language program, and need to 'make up' a missed year. Proven record of success with references.

I'm certified to teach French and Spanish K-12 in both NJ and PA, and have worked with pre-K and adult learners as well. I have lived and studied in France, Spain, and Mexico.... meaning you'll learn to speak 'with a good accent' and gain valuable cultural insight. I give plenty of practice with speaking and listening to the language... things you can't learn from a book or computer program! Master's degree in Foreign Language Pedagogy (1996) from Temple University.

I also have extensive experience teaching English as a second language. I've worked with students of all ages and educational backgrounds, from children to retirees, refugees to business executives. I have taught ESOL at Drexel University (executives from LG Semicon, South Korea), Camden County College, a private business school (adults from Eastern Europe), the Philadelphia Public School District, and the Cherry Hill Public Schools (Spanish-speaking custodial staff) in a grant-funded program.

While I prefer to work in students' homes, I am open to meeting in a library or coffee shop if it's more convenient. Family rates available!!!
