Quit after one lesson.

I was surprised that this tutor quit by email after one lesson. I felt the excuse was weak. I feel it was more a matter that she did not feel prepared to teach a young child. I realize that teaching preschoolers is difficult, sorry she was unable to give me a legitimate reason for not returning. I will state, though, that I was impressed with her first lesson.

Excellent Mandarin Tutor

After living in China for a time, I decided to work with Wenjing to continue to learn and improve upon my Mandarin language skills. Wenjing has always come to our lessons prepared and provides many supplemental learning materials. She has mastered both English and Mandarin which allows her to easily explain how the two languages relate to each other. This helps me understand how the language functions. She provides new vocabulary which is tailored to things that I am interested in learning. Logistically, working with Wenjing is easy. She is responsive when trying to schedule a lesson and she is flexible when scheduling. As I work full time, this is especially important. Overall, I would highly recommend Wenjing if you are interested in learning Chinese. She is able to teach a variety of levels and it is enjoyable to work with her. During our lessons we primarily focus on listening and speaking. She provides worksheets that lists different grammatical or vocabulary structures that I review at home. I am able to use these worksheets to improve on my writing and listening ability. Wenjing is an excellent teacher and is very effective.
