He started building his name as a child prodigy, playing solo fingerstyle ukulele, under the guidance of Mr TC Chew, owner of the renowned Manuel Ukulele school. His playing got him an invitation to appear as a guest performer on a local popular kids’ talents TV show. At the age of 15, Bryan picked up the guitar and the bass and participated in school bands and musicals.

Bryan’s musical talents eventually helped him secure a scholarship to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated with a BA from the Contemporary Writing and Production department.

While at Berklee, his versatile talents were used in Berklee Shows, notably the Budaya Malaysian Caf Show and the BPC show. Today, Bryan is the guitarist of his own J-Rock-inspired band, Math Class, where he’s in charge of mixing/mastering, producing, arranging and composing, and he served as musical director, arranger, vocalist, bass player for the Boston Taiwanese Festival.

Bryan believes that a sense of purpose and fun drives the process of learning. He loves to befriend his students, puts him in their shoes, and accommodate to every students needs. He's currently teaching in music schools in Massachusetts, with 1 on 1 students age ranging from 6-15, as well as in a classroom setting. He also had adult private students and worked 4 years as teaching assistant to professors at Berklee.
