Hello! My name is Jason, and I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I earned my Bachelor's degree in bioengineering. I'm currently a medical student at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. My MCAT prep journey began during the summer of 2020. I initially struggled to navigate the exam, but after 3 months of trial and error, I was able to increase my MCAT score by nearly 30 POINTS with a 98th percentile score (521) on test day.

I mainly attribute my success on the MCAT to my engineering background. As an undergraduate bioengineering student, I was trained to solve complex problems creatively, focusing only on the simplest and most effective solutions. I approached the MCAT the same way I did any engineering problem. I found methods to maximize my point potential while avoiding burnout and regression. As a tutor, I strive to instill this engineering mindset in all my students and teach them not only the fundamentals but also advanced analytical and critical thinking skills that would help them succeed in medical school and beyond.

I truly believe that a great MCAT score can be achieved by anyone with proper guidance and motivation. During my time working virtually with students (aged 20-30) one-on-one at Blueprint Test Prep for almost 2 years, I consistently maintained a 5-star review and averaged over a 15-point increase in my students' scores. My highest achieving students even scored 520+ on test day. In addition to the MCAT, I've extensive experience teaching STEM courses during undergrad and mentoring pre-med students through the application process by offering strategies for perfecting personal statements, secondary essays, and interviews.

As a tutor, I enjoy creating a learning experience that is unique to each individual student. The journey to med school is not easy, and I'm making it my mission to ensure that I can help as many students as I can overcome the MCAT, which is arguably the most arduous obstacle.
