Bio

I am a tutor with 5 years of teaching experience and extensive education in math and science.

When teaching, I patiently interact with a student, know when they are confused, and guide their thinking in the right direction. I have tutored students who were struggling with various subjects including algebra, calculus, chemistry, and physics. Over time, their understanding of the subject dramatically improved. Also, their test grades improved.

I have tutored students who were struggling with various subjects including algebra, calculus, chemistry, and physics. Over time, their understanding of the subject dramatically improved. I received a Master of Science in chemistry from the University of California Berkeley. There I took coursework in physical chemistry, and did research in spectroscopy. I also worked as a teaching assistant for general chemistry, spectroscopy, and quantum mechanics. At Lawrence University, I received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry, Magna Cum Laude. I did research in biophysics, and worked as a tutor for general chemistry. With this experience, I am well prepared to teach chemistry, physics, and math.

I enjoy learning and I love teaching. For me, the best moment in tutoring is when the light of understanding suddenly appears on a student’s face. I know the value of education, and I want my students to learn, understand, and succeed. I look forward to working with you or your child.
