Hi, I'm Cole! I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies, after transferring from Cal State Northridge for the same degree. I also studied guitar, voice, piano, music production, and studio technology through the course of my degree.

I have played guitar, piano, and sang since I was 6 years old. In the time since, I have also developed proficiency on the bass guitar, ukulele, songwriting, studio recording, and drum kit. I have taught music lessons since I was only 13 years old when I started a music lessons 'business' in a middle-school Entrepreneurship elective class. Shortly after that school year ended, I began teaching locally in my hometown to several dozen students, eventually working my way to becoming the guitar teacher for the Thousand Oaks Teen Center for three years. Between high school and college, I expanded my teaching business all over the Ventura and Los Angeles area and have worked with over 100 students from ages 3 to 65, beginners all the way to advanced students. I can work with anyone!

My teaching philosophy is all about giving students a strong understanding of the fundamentals of music in combination with fun songs that they with enjoy and engage with. This is the same philosophy my guitar teacher of 11 years used with me and I deeply loved music and went so far as to commit my life to being a musician because of it. I have seen this method work so well with my 100+ students. I teach many genres and styles of music, acoustic and electric guitar, and have a strong knowledge of music theory. I believe my technical knowledge of music in combination with my experience as a passionate working musician makes me an excellent candidate to teach you or your child an instrument. I look forward to working with you!
