I received my high school diploma from Oxford Academy High School, ranked #1 in California and #9 nationally on US New's Best High Schools List. I graduated from UCLA, ranked as the #1 public university nationally, with distinguished Latin Honors and a B.S in psychobiology.

I am currently an MD Candidate at the USC's Keck School of Medicine (Class of 2024) working under the Dean's Research Scholarship as a clinical research fellow for the USC Spine Center, where I manage a clinical research lab comprised of 50+ undergraduates, medical students, and resident physicians. I have also been awarded membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and Gold Humanism Honor Societies (GHHS) within my graduating class. AOA membership is awarded to the top 20%, and is selected based on "academic performance, leadership and professional abilities". GHHS membership is allocated to the top 15% based on both peer and faculty nomination, determined by "humanistic clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service".

I have authored 33 peer-reviewed scientific article publications, with awards for “Best Paper” and “Editor’s Choice” by the North American Spine and World Neurosurgery Journal. I have been invited to multiple national and international conferences as a podium presenter, and have also received grant funding for clinical research designs for novel lumbar interbody fusion techniques.

With respect to teaching and mentorship, I have extensive experience with one-on-one tutoring ranging from elementary school math to AP chemistry & biology. I’ve also taught SAT/ACT prep courses, specifically for the math and science sections, and have worked as an undergraduate assistant for upper-division level courses such as Genetics at UCI and Biochemistry at UCLA. Having scored a 97th and 99th percentile on the chemical/physical foundations and psychology/sociology sections of the MCAT (94th overall),
I taught as an MCAT instructor both for The Berkeley Review and independently.

Amazing Tutor

Andy was super helpful and an extremely nice guy. He was very knowledgeable and was able to clearly explain each topic. It is hard to come across a good tutor, so I got very lucky. I definitely recommend him!!

Great Tutor

Andy is a great tutor, he knows a lot about science, and he doesn't hesitate to explain any questions you have. He's just as good as any professional tutor who would charge twice as much. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a tutor.

Great tutor, great lesson

I met with Andy to study for my biology class. We went over membrane receptors, ion channels and neuron action potentials. He was very knowledgeable of the content we reviewed and his personal experience with the MCAT proved super helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to apply to medical school.

Knowledgeable & Patient Tutor

I had my first chemistry tutoring lesson with Andy today & he was great. At first, I didn't understand my work but left the session knowing all I needed to know. He taught me a lot in the 1 hour I worked with him & he was very fun to work with.
