Bio

Shailesh affectionately called by his students at University of Pittsburgh and Mathnasium as Mr. Sky, graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with a Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree. Sky has been teaching Computer/Electrical Engineering classes for past ten (10) years one on one tutoring, on-line and in person. Shailesh affectionately called by his students at University of Pittsburgh and Mathnasium as Mr. Sky, graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with a Masters of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree. Sky has been teaching Computer/Electrical Engineering classes for past ten (10) years one on one tutoring, on-line and in person. Also, he is tutoring Math at various Mathnasium locations in San Diego area. Including his experience as Professor at University of Pittsburgh PA, he accrued more than 10,000 hours of teaching experience. He enjoys teaching Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus to students of Middle/High School levels and Circuits as well as IT technology classes to students of College/Universities from Freshman to Senior Levels. He discovered that at Mathnasium, there are ample opportunities to teach kids as well as mature students. Sky's experience suggest that: "As an instructor, it helps when you breakdown problems in simple operations and in conversation mix real life examples while teaching solutions of confusing problems. He says, the best part of working at Mathnasium is you meet lots of students who possess different levels of skills and therefore post special challenges for coaching them. One of Sky's natural strength of partitioning complex problems and explain their solutions to students by using elementary concepts, he found is very useful. He gets satisfaction when students apply the skills and tools, he introduced for solution of sophisticated problems in Mathematics and Science.

Outside Mathnasium, Sky has authored and published a text book, “Unique physics of light and Astronomy”. Prior to his experience at Mathnasium, Shailesh (Sky) Kadakia was a Professor at University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown PA. There he taught Computer Design, Electric Circuit Theory, and Programming in MATLAB classes for two years, an aggregate of 4000 hours of teaching. I have nothing but rave reviews. I was a little apprehensive about finding a tutor for physics online for my son, however Shailesh "Sky" exceeded all my expectation. Since my son had missed almost a quarter of physics classes due to illness I had let Sky know that he really needed an overall review of all the lessons he had missed. Sky was certainly up to the task in only one session my son has gotten A's on his quizzes and labs and is more confident. Sky was able to teach him how to break down the questions and helped understand how to use the formula. We will be continuing with our tutoring sessions and would highly recommend him to help.

Shailesh was one of the few tutors I was able to find who understood the concepts in my 400 level controls class at Purdue. He has expertise in a multitude of subjects, especially in regards to complex electrical concepts. Before every session, he collects the specific questions you have, and then creates a powerpoint presentation that breaks down every step on the answer of your questions. In addition to this, he has always provided a multitude of helpful resources online to help you learn the material from a different source. These have helped me out tremendously. As far as communication goes, he is unmatched in any tutor I have ever worked with. He will call when he needs to explain scheduling, he will email you sources, and he is quick to reply with his Wyzant messages. Shailesh has mastered the art of teaching individual clients.
