Shannon, 12 lessons with Meghan
Meghan will no tutor any longer in PA - got full time job and moved away
The first lesson my son had with Meghan was very engaging and promising, in a "discovery" format. She left saying that for the next lesson she will bring learning materials, tailored to his needs, and they will actually begin working on improving his essay writing skills. Few days later (after I confirmed the payment for the class) she sent an email offering only one time option in the next week, which we had to decline as there were other plans for that particular hour. Meghan could not reschedule for another time. The following week when I reached out asking for her time availability, she replied that she will not be available in the next two weeks, after which she will move away from Pennsylvania to start a new job, and that she wishes my son a good luck finding another tutor...
Galina, 1 lesson with MeghanTutor responded:Galina, I was very up front when we scheduled our first session about the likelihood that I would be unable to continue as your son's tutor; as I stated in that email on January 18, "I do want to be up front with you and let you know, however, that I just received a job offer in Maryland. If the contract comes through, I will likely be moving there mid-February. If you would prefer to connect with a tutor who will be in the area long-term, I totally understand that. If you'd like to begin sessions anyway, I am happy to meet with [your son] on Monday." Since you replied and scheduled a session, I assumed you understood that I likely would not be able to meet more than once or twice. I hope you were able to find another tutor. Best of luck!
