About Angela

Bio

A little about me: I am a former elementary education teacher and (current) writer. I have over 15 years of experience working with emergent learners (including general and special education students). I taught using a Common Core curriculum for five years, but am a constructivist at heart. I have a Masters of Science in Education with a focus on elementary education and emergent literacy (phonics, decoding, writing, etc.). I also hold a Master of Fine Arts in English/Creative Writing. I taught using a Common Core curriculum for five years, but am a constructivist at heart. I have a Masters of Science in Education with a focus on elementary education and emergent literacy (phonics, decoding, writing, etc.). I also hold a Master of Fine Arts in English/Creative Writing. At the moment I am a full-time creative, balancing being a children's book author/editor, freelancing, and teaching.
