Hello! My name is Amy, and I am currently a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley. I have been teaching throughout my life, both privately and through other companies. I started as a private tutor in 2012 and became a Kumon instructor in 2019, where I tutored K-12 students in both Reading and Math. Over the past 8 years, I have tutored in subjects ranging from elementary math and readings to standardized test preparation. Through these experiences, I have gained the patience to work with kids and learned how to customize the lessons to each student.

I truly love working with children, as I understand how important education is in today's world. Whether it be catching up in school or staying ahead, I believe that every child should have the opportunity to fully understand what they are learning, even if it means putting in some extra time. My schedule and costs are very flexible, as I focus more on the student's progress than money!

ACT: I received a combined score of 34 on the ACT and am prepared to teach in all the different subjects. My breakdown was 36 in English, 34 in Reading, 34 Science, 33 Math and a 10 in Writing.

K-12 Math and Reading: I have learned the school curriculum through Kumon and have had a lot of experience in teaching students. I understand the methods and tricks to help students understand the basics of both math and reading and how to fully prepare for their future education and school classes.

Algebra, Geometry (High School Math): I've had numerous students working with specific topics such as trigonometry and algebra. I have many resources and textbooks to work through if needed and can help with any school work.

Chinese: I am fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), so I can communicate in it or teach it as well!
