For twenty years, I have been privileged to work with students with learning differences in New York. Those populations have included students who are school avoidant, on the Autistic Spectrum, have ADHD, Executive Function Disorder, and/or Memory/Processing Disorder.

In my present situation, I teach students one-to-one from New York City's diverse schools, including prep & private schools, magnet & specialized schools, & public schools, with ages ranging from 6th to 12th grades. Recently, I have also been teaching a number of school phobic students who are more comfortable learning at home.

I taught math & science for several years in a classroom setting. I decided to go back to school to receive my certification in Special Education and better cater to the unique needs of my students. This has helped me to better teach my targeted subjects with patience and compassion & to make the learning experiences as fun and stress-free as possible.

I am always looking for approaches that will improve the outcomes of my students. I am a member of several teaching organizations, including Math for America, New York Science Teachers Association, and the National Association of Special Education Teachers. I have presented at workshops sponsored by some of these organizations. I enjoy learning from both my colleagues and my students.
