Hello all, my name is Jordan! I have my BA in English with an Emphasis in Professional Writing from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, I have my TEFL certificate. Reading and writing have always been passions of mine! I've tutored off and on throughout the years in multiple subjects. My first experience in tutoring was in the 6th grade when I helped my neighbor's son learn how to read. I have six years of experience editing the work of family, fellow students, colleagues, and most recently, my husband's college essays. I also have seven years of experience teaching cheer and gymnastics to youths aged 18 months to 18 years old. I've taught them all!

The teachers who made an effort to improve my writing were the ones I appreciated the most growing up. Their constructive criticisms helped me understand my weaknesses and prevented me from making the same mistakes repeatedly. If I can help at least one student strengthen their writing, I will be successful.

I consider myself very well-rounded in English, and I'm well-versed in most literature taught in middle and high schools at this time. One of my college assignments involved creating a teaching blog that used pop culture in lesson plans to look at global literature. My strengths are in proofreading essays and editing for clarity and content.
