First, I have a large amount of experience and knowledge of the theory/composition subject matter and of musicianship--ear training, etc. I've had a very gifted young private student for the past 6 years (and a second one more recently). I plan lessons on a weekly basis for them the same as if I were teaching a college course (one has become fairly advanced). I believe the students have benefited from close personal attention to their work, It's been very satisfying to watch them improve. The first of my students, who started with me at age 12, recently was admitted to the composition program at the University of West London, UK.
Feel free to contact me if you are serious about music and motivated to learn, willing to apply yourself and have some familiarity with the basic elements of music theory--ie., knowledge of scales, for example--and some experience s a singer or playing an instrument.
