Welcome to my page! I'm Lily, or Ms. G-S, and I'm a Math Instructor at a Baltimore University, with experience in the high school classroom as well. I've been teaching for 5 years and I absolutely love it - helping students conquer their math demons is fun and rewarding.

Welcome to my page! I'm Lily, or Ms. G-S, and I'm a Math Instructor at a Baltimore University, with experience in the high school classroom as well. I've been teaching for 5 years and I absolutely love it - helping students conquer their math demons is fun and rewarding.
I was tutoring for almost a decade before I became a teacher. I specialize in the algebra pathway, from pre-algebra through algebra 3 (college algebra), calculus I, and geometry. With both a bachelors and masters in mathematics, I've definitely acquired the fundamentals that underpin the why's of mathematics. This enables me to provide explanations in a variety of ways and make sure my students have the full understanding before moving on to the next concept.
I'm also a passionate SAT Prep tutor. The SAT can seem like this behemoth and unconquerable. Fortunately, I've studied and practiced and can give you the benefit of my experience. With a new outlook and a little practice, the SAT will transform into just an objective, answerable group of questions.
In conclusion, I've been tutoring and teaching for many years. I believe that empathy and competence create more confidence. I'm ready to help your student next.

  • Rate details: RATES DIFFER FOR SAT PREP 1 hour session is $125/hour! (But only $200 for a 2 hour session!) Cancellation fee based on no-show or less than 24 hours notice. 15 minutes late charged as no-show.

I take a logical, objective approach to the SAT that will show you a path to the right answer worth, on average, 100 more points in this section.
