I'm Qais, I earned my bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering. I also graduated from Texas A&M University with a Master of Science in energy with a focus on data science and its application in the energy industry. I'm a mechanical engineer in the HVAC industry field. I also have 1+ year of experience teaching in the mechanical engineering department where I taught Math, Static, Strength of Materials, AutoCAD, and Engineering Design. My experience in teaching was mainly in classrooms with 10-30 students ages 18-25 years old. I also used to have office hours where I sat and teach 1 on 1 for the students who needed additional help, or clarifications, and for students who needed more time. I believe that every single person has their way of thinking and receiving information, 1 on 1 teaching helps identify the student's needs and the way they get the information which would help provide the right way of teaching for each student.

I have the EIT certification, and I passed the Professional Engineering exam of the Texas Board. I enjoy Math and Physics, and a lot of engineering subjects. I like teaching and looking to help others not only to understand these subjects but also to enjoy them and to be able to imagine how the solutions work. I always remember my physics teacher who made me like physics, and I'm looking forward to doing so.

Enjoying the subject makes students be good at it, but also helping them understand and believe that they have the ability and potential is what helps them start to enjoy the subject. I’m always willing to go the extra mile to make my students bring the best of them and enjoy the material of the class.
