I have been a professional full time Musician and Composer since 1978. In 1986 I was Published with Tedesco Tunes ASCAP and composed soundtrack music for the NBC-TV Daytime Drama "Santa Barbara" as well as ABC-TV's "General Hospital". In 1991 I I became an Out-Of-House Published Staff Writer with RTG Publishing Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio. I composed Music for the CBS-TV Daytime Dramas "The Guiding Light" and "As The World Turns" and NBC-TV's "Another World" From the 1991 - 1992 season through...

I have been a professional full time Musician and Composer since 1978. In 1986 I was Published with Tedesco Tunes ASCAP and composed soundtrack music for the NBC-TV Daytime Drama "Santa Barbara" as well as ABC-TV's "General Hospital". In 1991 I I became an Out-Of-House Published Staff Writer with RTG Publishing Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio. I composed Music for the CBS-TV Daytime Dramas "The Guiding Light" and "As The World Turns" and NBC-TV's "Another World" From the 1991 - 1992 season through the 1997 - 1998 season of "The Guiding Light", I received four (4) Emmy Awards for Best Composition, Arranging, Production, and Direction for a Daytime Drama Series.

During my work as a Composer, Arranger, Producer, Director, and Engineer, I relied heavily on computers after 1988. I am most proficient on the Macintosh Platform. Because of the intensity and complexity of the software that I use as well as it's demand on the computer, I have had to be not only a very high end user, but my own computer service tech as well. I use multiple High End Macintosh Computers networked together and synced to various analog and digital video and audio hardware as well as MIDI networking to multiple electronic keyboard based instruments.

I can help any Macintosh user reach their computing goals as well as teach them how to maintain their Computers them selves if they wish. I am a firm believer in solid computer data maintenance and preparedness.

For anyone interested in composing music, I can show you how to not only organize the ideas that you are most likely coming up with now into a solid composition that is formed correctly, I also can help you bring out the music inside you. After all, music does not come from a text book. It comes from the Human Heart and Soul.

Music is the communication of human emotion through melody, lyrics, rhythm, and chordal and counter melodic textures from the Composer to his or her audience. Every nuance of a composers life is a source of musical creation.

I can educate the student on the form and structural elements of non-classical music and also cover the relationship between these parts and their importance to the overall impact the music has on it's audience. I can teach the student the relationship between melody and chordal structure in popular and jazz forms of music and focus on the most important element of any piece of music, the Hook which means the thematic element of the music that all of the composition's other elements are based on. I will teach the relationship between commercial music form and how to prepare and present music to music publishers. I also will explain the integral relationship between a Music Publisher, the Composer, and the rest of the currant media industry elements. When my students complete their compositions that we are working on as well as any previously conceived musical and lyrical works, I will carefully take my students through the process of copyrighting their compositions with the United States Register of Copyrights using the PA or SR Copyright Forms. I will explain in detail each step of the process as well as detailing why it is important. If a student attracts interest from a music Publisher or Executive, I will advise them on which steps to take including the use of a retained Entertainment Law Attorney. From conception to the beginning of the contractual stages of Licensing Contracts, Each student will be carefully taught in a way that is uniquely tailored to their individual creative gifts.

Each student will be instructed on the set-up of their Macintosh as well as any peripheral hardware connections. They will be taken through all of the Macintosh Operating System's set-up elements, user settings including Internet \ LAN connections and the optional hardware needed to accomplish each students computing goals. I will tailor my teaching to the individual needs of each student and also advise them accordingly regarding any additional hardware and software they will need to reach their goals. I will take each student to the point where they are able to solve potential problems them selves as well as providing resources to aid them when solutions are very challenging so that they are not dependent on others to keep their Apple Macintosh Equipment in good operating order. I am proficient in most areas of Macintosh platform software. For detailed instruction on the use of High End Professional software applications it is always best to seek an Instructor that is highly experienced in the application the student wishes to learn. My area of Professional Expertise is in the area of Professional Audio, MIDI, and Studio applications for the Macintosh platform along with all of the applications contained in the Apple Macintosh iLife Suite. I also instruct beginning to intermediate levels of Video and Photo Editing, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Works, Apple Works and other applications. I am very highly knowledgeable in Legacy Mac OS versions as well ranging from Mac OS 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 9.2.2, Mac OS-X 10.1, OS-X 10.2, OS-X 10.3, OS-X 10.4, OS-X 10.5, and OS-X 10.6. I will also introduce the world of Open Source UNIX Applications available that run natively on Mac OS-X. The goal is to help each student become self sufficient in all areas of their Macintosh at the present time and to prepare them to move forward as technology progresses with confidence in them selves and their newly acquired skills.
