Lori is a wonderful teacher. She has been helping my son with College application essays and my daughter with Praxis test. Both of them are very pleased working with Lori, she provided lots of help and suggestions. She is a really nice and patient teacher. I highly recommend you to have class with Lori!

Study Skills, information organization, time management, review for impact.

Lori is helping me to identify what my key learning skills are and how best to leverage them. We established a system of "survey, question, read, recite and review" of readings and class session information. An improved review strategy will have an immediate and positive impact. We discussed some of the memorization techniques that might be effective for me. We will introduce note cards and outlines to my study tool box. I will modify the Cornell system of note taking that I am using to better align with the the actual Cornell system. To that end, we reviewed my note taking techniques and identified how to make them more efficient and effective both for math and non-math classes. Lori provided me with supporting documentation that will assist me in implementing these changes moving forward. Lori is smart, experienced and has good humor. She asked good questions and follow up questions. She is an excellent listener. She was thus able to make an informed assessment of my situation and challenges before making any recommendations. I am very pleased with the session outcome. We will follow up with another session at the completion of a statistics mini-course that I began this week.

Lori was a tremendous help throughout our sessions. She was very patient, supportive, knowledgeable, and gave great resources. She was able to review more topics than I thought we would be able to within the month that I turtored with her! As someone who has bad test anxiety, she help me feel a lot more confident. I passed my reading section of the praxis the first time I took it thanks to Lori! She really did great in preparing me for this test!

Wonderful tutor !

I reached out to Lori for tutoring in the Praxis CORE battery test in English and writing.I had taken this test about 5 times and I wasn't able to pass those sections. We meet around 4 times, every time we meet Lori was on time and had tasks for me to work on. She gave me "homework" to work on. After a few meeting I singed up for to take to test again, and I wind up passing both sections! Lori is a great tutor !
